Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari tentang “Sindrom penyamar” (Impostor Syndrome) dari channel youtube “1 hari sukses” yang berjudul “Impostor Syndrome”. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yaitu metode yang dilakukan dengan Teknik simak dan catat karena sumber informasi yang diambil dengan menyimak narasi lisan. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang konsep yang menjelaskan sebuah keadaan individu yang ditandai dengan ketidakmampuan untuk menginternalisasi pencapaian atau prestasi, dan terus – menerus merasa takut dianggap sebagai “penipu”. Impostor Syndrome merupakan sebuah kondisi psikologis yang menyebabkan seseorang untuk memiliki kepercayaan yang kuat bahwa diri sendiri tidak kompeten meskipun pencapaian, prestasi, dan pengakuan dari orang-orang disekitarnya membuktikan yang sebaliknya. Kondisi ini dapat berkembang menjadi suatu permasalahan psikologis yang dapat mengganggu keseharian, produktivitas, serta kesehatan mental penderitanya. Namun, akibat kurangnya pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat Surabaya terhadap kondisi Impostor Syndrome, banyak sekali masyarakat yang tidak menyadari sedang mengalami kondisi tersebut sehingga kondisi tersebut tidak disikapi dengan baik.
