Esensi dan Urgensi Eksistensi Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah: Membangun Adab Beragama dan Moral Kultural Anak Bangsa

Abstract

Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) is an Islamic educational institution that has a strategic role in building religious manners and cultural morals of the nation's children. MDT provides structured and systematic religious education outside the formal curriculum, providing a strong foundation in the formation of noble character. This article aims to examine the essence and urgency of the existence of MDT in the context of education in Indonesia, as well as its contribution in shaping the morality of the younger generation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach in several MDTs in Banten. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results showed that MDT has an important role in instilling religious and moral values through various moral teaching materials such as Alala Lantanul Ilm, Nidzomul Mutholib, Tanbihul Muta'allim, Taisirul Khallaq, and Ta'limul Muta'allim. These books have proven to be effective in shaping the character of students with good character and high integrity. In conclusion, MDT is an important pillar in the national education system that must be supported and developed sustainably to produce a civilised and highly moral generation.
