Abstract

This research aims to explore the influence of dominant thoughts on one's self-management, by integrating religious and moral understanding as the main supporting factors. Based on the concept of Jeff Keller in his book "Attitude is Everything," this research uses descriptive qualitative method to explore how positive dominant thoughts can increase the chances of success. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and relevant literature studies. The results showed that positive dominant thoughts play an important role in encouraging individuals to be optimistic, confident, and proactive in facing life's challenges. Religious and moral understanding, which includes Aqidah, Akhlak, Fiqh, al-Qur'an and Hadith, as well as Islamic History and Civilisation (SKI), is proven to provide a strong foundation for individuals in forming positive dominant thoughts. Religious teachings not only provide guidelines for life, but also strengthen an optimistic attitude and belief in the wisdom of every event. Social support from the surrounding environment also plays a significant role in maintaining positive dominant thoughts. Advice is given to students and university students to increase religious understanding through Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah or similar religious education institutions, and for adults to regularly read religious books and study with credible teachers. Thus, the development of positive dominant thoughts through religious understanding can support individuals to achieve success and make positive contributions to society. The proverb "You are what you think you are" illustrates how important it is to have a positive dominant mind for a successful, productive and contributive life.
